ClearCorrect Aligners
ClearCorrect Aligners is an orthodontics treatment within cosmetic service that aims to correct any misaligned, non-straightened or otherwise imperfectly-placed teeth. Most of the time, this cosmetic service is pursued in order to create a more aesthetically-pleasing smile. However, there are also long-term benefits that coincide with orthodontic treatment.
What is Orthodontic Treatment?
Orthodontic treatment is, at it’s most broad, a systematic, long-term treatment to move teeth to predetermined positions. This happens by applying constant, gentle force to the teeth over a set amount of time (generally months to a couple years). The amount of time needed to move teeth to the desired positions can vary among each patient. Reasons for varying treatment time are due to age, the extent of the problem, or the type of treatment used.
What Is ClearCorrect?
ClearCorrect clear aligners straighten teeth using plastic that is almost invisible. Similar to a retainer, the aligners are easily removable and there are no wires that trap food or get in the way when you floss. The clear aligners are BPA free, made in America, and 100% safe. The ClearCorrect Process
As with most treatments, ClearCorrect treatment starts with a consultation with Dr. Brumbach. He will evaluate your bite and teeth alignment with a visual examination. If he believes you are a good candidate for ClearCorrect, the following steps will take place:
- First, we’ll take x-rays, images and molds and use those to create a digital image your teeth.
- Then, we’ll map out how we plan to slowly move and straighten your teeth to the desired position.
- We’ll send the digital images to ClearCorrect, where they produce the aligners specifically created for your teeth.
- During check-ins, we’ll check your progress and give you new sets of aligners roughly every two weeks. You wear the aligners for at least 22 hours a day, and progress through each set until your treatment is complete and your teeth have reached their final position.
Why Get ClearCorrect Orthodontic Treatment?
There are many reasons that one would consider orthodontic treatment! Oftentimes, an imperfect smile is something that hinders positive self-image. Thus, many people seek orthodontic treatment in order to achieve the beautiful smile of their dreams. After all, there is scientific evidence that proves the health benefits of smiling!
In addition, misaligned teeth can be about more than just beauty. For example, it can also be in relation to an improperly-fitting bite. This might mean that you have an underbite or an overbite. If this is the case, then misaligned teeth could result in jaw pain, trouble chewing, TMJ, and disproportionate pressure on some teeth, causing enamel wear and cavities. If so, braces may be the preliminary method of correction for this before further treatment is needed.
There are a variety of reasons that one would consider cosmetic procedures. For example, the last decade has seen an increase in the quality of service that often deters patients from correcting their cosmetic issues. Specifically, improved technology is minimally invasive, increasingly pain-free, and conducive to more accurately-preformed dental procedures. Procedures like implants, veneers, whitening, and orthodontics are quicker and more painless comparatively to past decades. In addition, the materials have also transitioned from various metals to quality surgical steel and ceramics, resulting in greater patient satisfaction and producing better aesthetic results.
We can help you decide whether your cosmetic issues qualify for our state of the art orthodontic treatments or whether a specialist or other type of oral surgeon would be better suited. Come in for a consultation today!
